I needed new brakes

In one dream last night/this morning, my car needed new brakes and I was surprised because I didnt think it should have needed them so soon. I was in a busy part of the state I live in and just went to wherever I could find (car/brake place) to get a new pair and they charged me quite a bit of money for them... rip-off, really. But I didnt care cuz I needed the brakes.

Later on, my mother found out and chastised me for spending so much for the new brakes.

I wasnt sure sure what, if anything, to make of this dream.
