M at Christmas Ball

I was in a room where I saw a those icicle lights all around the top of the wall near the ceiling, like a valance curtain. There were a few people in the room, there was a Christmas tree and a gift at the foot of it that had a place mat lying on top of it. Someone explained to me that M had wanted a family picture with me in front of the tree, but I wasn't there, so he had left that as a marker. Everyone had gone to dance (it was a Christmas ball) and I was going to go join them.
