self thread deletion

why can't we delete our own threads?
i'd like that to be included on the forum.

The security permissions on the board are set so that only moderators and admins may move or delete posts and threads. Users may only edit their own individual posts one at a time. This was done as a concious design decision that was made when we first set up the board and it is for the protection of the board and its members. I will discuss it off line with the other admins, but I do not see this rule changing anytime soon. Thank you.
