I wondered if anyone knows what a doll means in a dream?

It would really depend upon the dream, but my first thought was an image, perhaps of oneself?

The context is in the dream 'curtains put up to block the light' in the dreams and visions forum:

'we got up and saw a lady in a long pink, silk type dress tugging and pulling a doll away from a little girl, some people watched in line, the rest continued enjoying the interlude'
