could have varied meanings of course due to context. Just as a symbol I would say it could be an opposite move of God. From the East is usually from the Lord, so from the West is against the Lord. It could be a literal direction as something of the Lord is coming in from west of where you are at. Hope this helps, just some first thoughts.
