As for your dream, banquet to me speaks of a time of celebration and gathering for a special event sort of something to look forward to. In scripture Banquet speaks of social feasting; there were feast on birthdays Gen.40:20, marriages Gen 29::22; funerals 2 Sam 3:35. The host provided robes for the guest, and they were worn in his honor and were a token of his regard.
Banqueting (the action) is Feasting and a festival time. Children in reference to scripture speaks of an affectionate addresses; used symbolically of those who belong to Christ (Rom. 8:17). In the Greek it stands for “an assembly”. Face sometimes may mean “presence” and “sometimes favor”. Hopefully others will have more to share. Were you just watching or participating? if just watching it could symbolize a time of joy and may speak of Character, and countenance. To enter into God's kingdom, the scripture says we must be like little children. So technically anyone partaking of God's kingdom (His banquet) would be a child.

Maybe your dream is a reminder to come as a little child to partake in God's banquet.
