the "Transplanted Tree" (repost)

Post by Michael »

I originally posted this on 4/13/08.

Since this past Jan 31 this dream weighs heavily me.
It has not been recurring, yet it is 'all over me' as my son
would say. So I'm throwing out there again to see what
comes back...

"I'm standing on the sidewalk in front of a
home I own in Colorado. My 9 year old son is with me...
I say to him 'I think the tree would look good
here, in front of this house' he responds with
'Yeah Dad... let's do it'

One neighbor quickly says 'Mike you can't take
a tree grown in a sub-tropic climate like Florida
and bring it here... it'll die for sure!'

Another neighbor responds with 'True, you cannot
bring the tree alone, you must also bring the soil it
has grown in'

in an instant I'm back here in S. Florida digging my
tree and a very large square section of soil around
the roots up with my bare hands.

in another instant I'm back in Colorado placing my tree
and the soil into the ground in front of that house.
As I'm smoothing out the soil with my hands around the
transplanted tree I hear the second neighbors voice...

'this climate will have little effect because the roots
are strong in their soil, these roots will soon acclamate
and your tree will thrive' Then I wake up...

Any ideas??

Hi, Micheal.

Are you saying that you used to live in Florida and moved to Colorado? Or do you live in Florida and are moving to Colorado?

Either way it looks like your moving or have moved and the people around you are giving you doubts. But no worries, you have strong roots and good soil which you will take with you. So what ever you are worried about don't. God is showing you that its His will and the tree (you or your son ) will thrive in this new climate.
May I also suggest looking up the word thrive. This is a great blessing and I'm happy for you! God is sooo GOOD!

Let me know how things go. I'll praise the Lord along with you.

Blessings,
Cheryl

Cheryl,

Currently live in FL, owning a 2nd home in CO.
True, there are and have been doubts associated
with this situation. I've been trying to get there for
32 months now without success.

Based on the strength of the impression I've been wrestling
with since Jan 31... I agree, the tree represents a 'who' not
a 'what'. I'm not sure about it being either of us.
It appears that we're already there and returned to FL to
'dig up' the 'tree' and take it back.

Thanks for your input...

Please pray before reading this for Holy Spirit to confirm if this is for you or not. I will just reveal what I sensed when reading your dream.

While I was reading your dream the one thing that stood out so strong was the fact that there were large roots and great soil. It sounds like you have no desire to move to Colorado, but God is saying to you that you will thrive there. There is something there that He has for you and if you don't go you will miss what He wants to reveal to you. In this He is letting you know that the transplant will be successful and sure. Whatever you gained in Florida you will take with you. He is letting you know what looks like loss to you is gain to Him...You are taking your growth with you! Whatever you and your son gained in Florida you will take with you to Colorado....I'm not sure if this helps....Many blessings to your uproot and your transplant! May you be planted in good ground and watered sufficiently.......Blessings

Brother-

Think of the tree that was "planted" by the waters- it was strong and upright and had deep grown roots-

So have you now been

I believe also that God is the one moving you-

And hence- that you, my friend, are the tree-

It is YOUR roots that will still flourish- amongst all the "unkknown soil"------------------ and different climate.

I do see change and more than climate and scenery

But this new place that He will take you is ordained of Him-
And He will establish it-

not you.

God bless you and your family.
