Wedding Ring on Man's hand

Hello all. I had a dream that I was walking with a man that I know but suddenly I saw all of this red carpet. I stepped back a little and I looked down at him and he had a wedding ring on his hand. However, the hand looked like it was very old. I just found out that this person is getting married in a week but I wonder why his hand was old. Thank you in advance for help with this one.
