2 red axes in X shape

i was looking after some horses and cows and they were trying to bite me with their lips ...and then me and gal took a hike and where we stopped was on a hill above town ...and i saw two axes with red on them like blood and they were crossed in X and it said St Maries ...you know, like towns do, putting their name on the hill
