Cat attacked Spotted Dove in The Cage

I had this dream and would like to have some insight.
What i dream was that i was just stopped my bike front of my mother's house. I saw a bird's cage nearby, just a few steps away. Inside this cage was this bird, a spotted dove. But the cage had a small opening. Then, all of a sudden, a cat out of no where went inside this cage through the small opening and attacked. I tried to safe the bird but was unable. As the cat was already inside the cage. The next thing i believe the cat could have eaten this bird. I wonder what this dream could mean?
Any insight anyone?
