Waiting for the right time to escape

In my dream, I was still living with my ex-husband Gary but still very fearful of him.
I was in the house with him, my 2 daughters, and one of my daughters friends.

Gary had threatened the friend that she would not be allowed to leave our house.
The threat was that she would be killed or hurt if she tried to escape.

He watched her every move non-stop (even at night).

She also wasn’t allowed to call anyone.

After a few days, I finally thought I had come up w/a plan to help her escape.

When Gary was in the bathroom and wasn’t listening to us, I told her to get herself dressed and ready to go.

I had the keys to the car in my pocket but every time the keys would jingle I felt Gary staring at me to see what I was going to do.

Throughout the entire dream, I was signaling and whispering to the girl to get ready for the escape but when I woke up we were still waiting for our opportunity to break her free.
