Black Bug Turns into Black Bird

I was in a hotel room. Other people were with me, but I do not remember who they were. My suitcase was open and on the floor, A round, black bug, about 1" high and 1" long was on the bed. It jumped on the floor by my suitcase. I was afraid it would get into the suitcase, but it walked by and did not bother the suitcase. The bug turned into a black cockatiel bird. I liked him. He liked me, he was tame and was sitting on my finger.

You're in a temporary place.

In your place where you would normally rest, there is something small which looks sinister or you may simply not like it.

It looks like it's going to cause you a problem with your appearance (suitcases are for storing clothes).

But it turns out to be harmless and you find out eventually that it's not what it appeared to be in the first place and in fact, it's something you enjoy.
