Boys menstruating

I've had several dreams lately where it seems to be a common occurrence that boys menstruate, at various ages (sometimes teenagers, sometimes around age 9-10, sometimes babies), but it only happens a couple of times and then they're done. What could this be about? (They are usually my own sons)

The only idea I have on this is that it sounds like something that they were going through didn't come to fruition at the time, so they are getting rid of it in preparation for the next thing they needed to do. Hope this helps.
