soaring in the heavenlies

I had a dream where I started rising up in to the sky past the stars and planets and was outside of the Gates of Heaven. I don't remember much more then that, but my question is could that possibly been happening to me at the time and was not only a dream.

I believe with God all things are possible...in other words, yes.

Yes it is definately possible, I have had translations out of dreams before. A couple of times to heaven and a couple of times to other places on the earth.
