Bugs & Snakes

Post by ginasings4him »

I had a dream that my daugher was unpacking her suitcase and after she got done unpacking we could see some microscopic tiny bugs - almost like bedbugs that we were trying to brush off the suitcase and get rid of the couple we found so they couldn't infest themselves in our home. I was trying to brush a couple off with a pen I had in my hand. Suddenly this snake bug (bug that little like small snake and tail) started sliding up my pen. I didn't notice until it was almost at my hand. I was able to stab the head with my pen- it still kept fighting to slither up my hand but I stabbed it a couple more times and it seemed to be dead. Not sure what that dream means?

The bugs may reflect something that is attempting to get under your skin – tiny irritations that are coming about as you are loosen (setting free) some burdens (baggage). The pen you are holding may represent an utterance via the Spirit "My tongue is the pen of a ready writer" - Psalm 45:1 and “For I will give you words (utterance) and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict” – Luke 21:15.
The snake bug itself may represent not only an irritation but a lie in some form.
I hope this helps and toss out if it does not!

That seems right on. There has been some things that have been "under my skin" lately - and a lot of it stems from lies and gossip from people who are fellow Christians I thought were my friends - still having a hard time moving forward in their midst - but I have forgiven, just is ackward now.

You have my compassion Gina. It is not too hard to forgive them, but it is hard to "trust" them again after things like that. With more time and His movement within circumstances and in each ones heart, there is more healing and restoration coming.

Ps. 45:1... A Song of Love. My heart overflows with a good theme; I address my verses to the King; My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

Somewhat along the same lines of thought as Newbie, I see the snake/lies trying to take hold of your tongue. You want to speak in love, but there is a battle "within". The snake is already IN the pen, but you had to stab it to kill it.
Use the Word of God to keep the lies from getting a firm grip on your tongue.
The snake was trying to get to the hand which does the doing. You killed it BEFORE it did any harm. But you had to stab the head MORE THAN ONCE to make sure it was dead. The enemy wants you to spew venomous words from your mouth.
There is a story in the bible where the prophet Elisha told the king of Israel to strike the ground with his arrows. The king struck the ground 3 times. The prophet told him because he only struck the ground a few times, he would only have a partial victory over the enemy. 2Kings13:17-19
Please don't make the same mistake as the king and not hit the enemy with the Word enough times to kill it (the spirit in the situation, not a person ), since The Lord is showing you whatever this is, it is going to take more than praying just once. God wants you to be victorious in whatever this is and He KNOWS you can be victorious in this.
I pray victory for you.
God fights our battles. Vengeance is Mine, I will repay says The Lord. Stand still and see the salvation of The Lord. Speak HIS Word and nothing else, no matter how much the enemy tries to rear his wicked head.
These are the thoughts That came to my mind concerning your dream. I hope they are a blessing and encouragement.
