A pond with a brown animal

I had a short dream this morning that I was standing next to a very grassy pond and I could tell that the water was very clear, there was just so much tall grass in it that I could not see the bottom.
I looked down and at the edge of the pond was a furry wet brown animal about the size of a dog but it had a round face almost monkey like it was cute but I was wary of it and did not go neer it.
There was other people there and they jumped right in it with all thier cloths on so I asked how deep was it and said it only came up to thier neck in the deepest part.
They were commig up with watermelons in the water and playing with it like a ball before opening it and eating it.
Then I jumped in and found a very large watermelon and broke it open and saw that the flesh was a strange light pink color like flesh, I don't think I ate any.
