Short Skirt ??

In this dream I was somewhere?? and my Pastor was with me and so was a few church people...

I remember standing at a table looking at a book...an English book...or Literature...Anyway, it appeared that we were learning about something....schooling..??

I seen a girl named Wendy...she is alittle older than me...she had a shorter skirt on and was passing by and my Pastor said a corrective word to her because of the way she was dressed...The skirt was short but not provocative or anything...She was a little upset but took it well and went to change...

That made me feel bad...I also had a short skirt on...so I was thinking that He must be thinking the same thing about me and isn't saying anything....I really started feeling bad...

I remember looking down at the literature book and seeing that we were studying a poem...it was an older poem...and it was called "_________ vision"....Something about vision...
I commented to Pastor that the poem was an old one and I was surprised to see this again after so many years...

He wasn't paying too much attention so I went over to him and said " Why didn't you tell me that my skirt was inapropriate?" ...He looked at me and said "You are fine." I said to him "But you told Wendy she was dressed inapropriate! And I too have a short skirt on!" He said "You are only 32! You are still young enough to wear that!....And don't you think I am watching you?! If you were dressed inapropriate I would tell you!" I couldn't understand....she didn't look alot older than me...she was only in her forty's...I just couldn't get it...

Then he pulled me close to him...and began kissing me passionatley???? I remember stopping for a second and saying to him..."Do you even know how deeply I am falling inlove with you???" He continued kissing me and I remember feeling love and passion like I have never felt in my life.....??

Maybe the last part is about a stronger passion for the Lord, because the pastor can be a symbol for God. Not sure about the rest of it. Just a suggestion, please pray about it and see if your heart bears witness. Things come to me sometimes, blessings to you. I am excited that God speaks to us in our dreams.

Sorry to go against the flo again, but I think this dream sounds like an escallation from the last one of pastor on couch. I would be more inclined to ask the Lord if the enemy isn't up to something.

Seems like these kind of dreams are fairly common among us...I've also had them, but they don't make me more in love with Jesus, they make me have warmer feelings for someone that I shouldn't think of in that way. For me they bring an intimate feeling for someone other than my husband...that cannot be God.

Since they are common I wonder if the Lord might be opening our eyes to a spiritual battle that we all face or maybe it's to help us understand a strategy of the enemy so we can resist??

Sorry if I missed it...I'm sure you'll know one way or the other.

I would stay away from your pastor. Very often feelings can develop between two people. Loads of good people have fallen because of affairs.

I kept having a reoccuring dream about a coworker of mine after I went to a bible study he was holding. He was always trying to seduce me in my dreams. It turned out he was in fact doing so.

Theres a real warning, which is one of the reasons we should go to our husbands with spiritual questions and not necessarily other males. It makes our husbands feel more spiritual leaned on, and responsible. And makes sure affairs don't happen.

The Spirit was talking about a spiritual covering.... Could just be that the LORD is trying to show her that her covering comes up... a little short... and not getting the full covering that she needs. In other words.... Who ever her covering is.. may not be teaching her the full truth of God's word.

The Holy Spirit wants Gods' children to be very intimate with Him while in His presence. He loves it when you tell Him how much you live Him. Tell this person to never stop loving on the Holy Spirit. He will love back if she will let Him.

I feel this dream is about applying the word in context, rightly dividing the word of truth.

I feel the pastor who by short definition is a person who preaches the word of God, is representing that word he preaches..

Wendy is representing someone or something other than herself. The name actually means fair, white and blessed.

You were at a table studying a book, perhaps the word of God , but at a place in the word where whatever it was , perhaps one "verse" was meant for a specific time or people and not for everyone.

The Pastor who I feel is the word of God in this dream brings correction to Wendy for doing the very same thing you are doing, yet you hear nothing from him, no conviction from the word to change it and begin to wonder why not and what if I am doing something wrong, why hasn't the Holyghost convicted me of it?

As you continue in the word, you see how it is written in a specific style, like poetry. and what was being read was from a "past" time, you make mention of that in the dream.


A metrical line of poetry is called a "verse" . If we take one verse from the old or new testament and try to apply it today out of context, give it life (romantize it/ poetry) without seeing the whole "vision" we err.

Wendy was older than you, ( could refer to before grace but there are many of other examples such as women speaking in public, but though she received the correction and went to change , she was being obedient to what was required of her in that particular day and setting. And though your/our skirt may be about the same height , grace has us covered.

I don't feel the skirt was about sin , but rather protocal maybe rules etc. The Bible is very clear concerning sin it applies to us all, but you even said her skirt's lenght was not provocative. In other words she wasn't sinning, but for her AGE ( generation, era, Biblically speaking it was too short.

The Pastor/word said you were fine, you are young enough to wear it. Could that word young refer to the new covenant , grace? And also the AGE we are living in..

I feel the passion and love you experienced was and is with the word of God,( the more you learn of him the more you love him.

GloryHis- I believe you are on to something...and I bore witness right away...I do believe this has something to do with doctrine...I think I know just what it is....but I do need to take a little more time to pray and seek...then I will add a little more to the thread and see if we can get the fullness of revelation from the Lord....Wow...You wouldn't believe how much of what you said is right on...lol...

I know you probably didn't mean to offend me and none was taken...but you may want to be a little more careful on how you word your responses to dreams...they come out kind of "exact" and could cause offense to some people...

I have NO romantic feelings for my Pastor and I am SURE he doesn't for me either...We hardly ever even speak...As a matter of fact I find it hard to even approach him to ask a question because He is too busy...I understand that my HUSBAND is my source and the Lord put Him as a covering to me...no matter how I feel about it...that is who the Lord gave me...I say that only because of your response:

Kimi- Thanks sis...I know what you mean about those kind of dreams!!lol...but I don't know that the Lord is warning me...I don't feel that in my spirit...I will be sure to pray though anyway....lol..for sure!!!! I am not in much of a position to even be around other men...lol...and neither is he really....but I will still pray....promise!

I decided to do little brainstorming on here since that sometimes helps me...lol...

I feel that the literature is the word of God...from one generation to the next...it never changes...

I feel that the short skirt is the outward appearance that sometimes people are judged by...I am wondering if hers being short is symbolic of not being properly prepared...Pastor tells her she needs to 'change' ...I am wondering if I am looking at some in the church by their outward appearances and thinking that I too must change to do what I the Lord is calling me to do...because it does irl seem like in our church that only "certain" types and "certain" ones are heard from or used. I am thinking the Lord is dealing with me on this.

Ok...here is what I am getting..if you guys want to interject go ahead..lol..

I am thinking the Lord is saying to me...Its not about what this person is doing or what that person is wearing...its not about what your Pastor allows for one and not the other...I am calling you unto me....My opinion of you is all that matters...Don't you think that if you were doing something wrong or going in the wrong direction that I wouldn't show you myself...Don't you think that if it was about the outward I would bring conviction on you myself? I believe the Lord is saying to me that the vision is written before me...I have seen it once before...it hasn't changed. And the only way to see it fulfilled is to come closer to HIM.....come into agreements (kiss) with HIM(the Lord)...fall more and more inlove with HIM(THE LORD)....Don't worry about coming up short(skirt) in your covering...not getting the support or covering you need...just come to me...Don't worry about trying to figure out the fullness of the vision in front you ....just come to me...

Ok...what do you think...I really feel this in my spirit...
