Nines on the Roof

I heard the phrase "Nines on the Roof" in my sleep.
Any thoughts anybody?

many believe the upper room on day of Pentecost was on a roof

interesting it was plural ...2x9? ...or 99 ...or 2 of the same

I also remember a saying "dressed to the nines"

A thought that popped into my head. The 9th of the 10 commandments is "Lying 9" as my kids learned it the easy way. The roof is your "covering" or those in authority over you. Could it be that someone in authority over you is lying?
